How I Am Different from my Best Friend:

I hear, "first date to a tree farm to chop down a little Douglas fir for the holidays", and I think, "Ooh, fun!".

She hears this and thinks, "he's probably going to chop me up and murder me!".

Dude, go on your date, text me with his license plate information, and stay away from the axe.

Have fun, be yourself.

Ok....I guess I have to comment since this post is about me! First of all Karen and I laughed so hard when we read this! Let's be fair here, when he first asked me I thought wow how fun...then when I got off the phone I started thinking about it....I mean go into the woods with someone I just met weilding saws....is this really a good idea? Proof positive that NYC is finally getting to me! If I was back in the mid-west I would be having pure thoughts about this activity. But, I am going and am very excited!

Ok, Marci.

Would it be different on the west coast?

That is where I tend to live when I let utter and complete strangers take me away somewhere in their car.

I am more afraid of anyone in the midwest than I have ever met out in NYC. For the record.

Ok, you called me out....I am just a little paranoid from time to time...

However, you're right people in the mid-west can be a little scary. Maybe that's why I left!

As for the date I found out last night that we are also going on a hike and that this tree farm is about an hour and a half away. Which for some reason initally shocked me, but then Karen looked at me like I was crazy asking "what did you expect a tree farm in Newark?" Now that would be dangerous...considing there are billboards when you enter Newark saying "Stop the killings"

By the way, Marci, when I referred to 'best friend', I wasn't talking about you.

Oh, snap.

Interesting that blogger says I left my last comment at 10:46 last night, since I was at the bar and didn't have my computer with me.

What? I'm not your best friend?! I'm pissed...

I kind of have to agree with KT - in general, I'd be WAY more worried about being hacked to pieces out on the west coast than I would on the East Coast. It's too densely populated. And when I say west coast, I mean the rockies, not LA. City folk a far less scary to me than loners...

You are all my bestest friends.
